Scientific Objective:
The North Indian Ocean-Eurasian plate subduction zone and the western tectonic knot India-Asia collision zone are the key research areas. The research area 1 shall focus on the study of the tectonic evolution process of plate collision and its resource and environmental effects, in order to revealthe influence of tectonic activities and orogenic belt uplift on regional climate patterns transitions and the sea-land interactions, decipher the internal dynamic mechanism of mineral and oil-gas-hydrate formation.
