Scientific Objective:
Focusing on the strategic energy and resources of the "China-Pakistan Economic Corridor", the research area 4 shall discover the status and potential of fossil energy, key minerals, water, land, biomass, wind and solar energy etc. The research area 4 shall also carry out natural resource background investigations and format the technology research and development of evolution, desertification prevention and control, resource development optimization allocation, sustainable utilization and green development. Studying the temporal and spatial correlation and evolution characteristics of key elements of typical ecological environment in arid areas, as well as the simulation, prediction and policy control of the evolution of ecological environment in key areas to propose regional sustainable development models, economic-resource-environment coordinated development plans and comprehensive technical solutions, establishing a geological environmental risk management technology system for typical major projects, and serving the green development of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.
