International Training on Resource & Environment Scientific Data Sharing and Disaster Risk Reduction Knowledge Service along the “Belt and Road” Held in Beijing

The International Training on Resource & Environment Scientific Data Sharing and Disaster Risk Reduction Knowledge Service along the “Belt and Road” was held from July 28 to August 11 in Beijing, co-organized by the Institute of Geographic Sciences and Natural Resources Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IGSNRR) and CPJRC. Prof. Su Fenzhen, Deputy Director-General of IGSNRR delivered a welcome speech at the opening ceremony. IGSNRR Prof. Wang Juanle introduced the previous international training workshops and the training schedule.
The training aims to promote the international cooperation of data sharing in resource and environment, enhance the regional capacity for disaster prevention and mitigation and sustainable development, support the collaborative researches along the "Belt and Road". 26 lectures and 5 technology tours were organized around themes including scientific data sharing platform and technology, scientific data governance, standard and technology, knowledge services of disaster prevention and mitigation, disaster emergency remote sensing and monitoring, disaster risk assessment, data sharing and international cooperation in disaster prevention and mitigation.
20 participants from Pakistan, Mongolia, Russia, Egypt, Iran, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan, etc., attended the 15-day training.
