International Training Workshop on Resource & Environment Scientific Data Sharing and Disaster Risk Reduction Knowledge Service along the Belt and Road Successfully Held

From November 20 to 24, 2022,the International Training Workshop on Resource & Environment Scientific Data Sharing and Disaster Risk Reduction Knowledge Service along the Belt and Road was successfully held online. The training workshop was hosted by the Institute of Geographic Sciences and Natural Resources Research of Chinese Academy of Sciences and co-organized by the China-Pakistan Joint Research Center on Earth Sciences (aka., CPJRC).
Prof. Hong Tianhua, Executive Director of CPJRC, and Prof. Wang Juanle, the workshop organizer and researcher of the Institute of Geographic Sciences and Natural Resources Research of Chinese Academy of Sciences, delivered reports on Bilateral Cooperation on Science and Technology along CPEC and Disaster Risk Reduction Knowledge Service respectively.
The training workshop organized a total of 27 lectures on such themes as the “application of disaster risk reduction knowledge service”, “international cooperation in data sharing and disaster risk reduction”, “data sharing platform and technology”, “data governance and standard specification and technology”, and “big data-driven data sharing application”.
In this 5-day training workshop, 200 participants from 40 countries, including Pakistan, Russia, Mongolia, Nigeria, Bangladesh, Nepal, Ghana, Sudan, Egypt and Indonesia were involved.
