CPJRC and Tianqi Lithium Corporation Reached a Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement

At the 2022 China (Suining) International Conference on Lithium Battery Industry & The Third International Symposium on New Energy and Power Battery on November 9, 2022, Academician Cui Peng, Director-General of China-Pakistan Joint Research Center on Earth Sciences (hereinafter referred to as "CPJRC"), and Mr. Xia Juncheng, President of Tianqi Lithium Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "Tianqi Lithium") signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement in Suining, Sichuan with respect to the cooperative investigation and research on lithium resources in Pakistan, including joint research, achievements application, personnel training and academic exchanges.
Prof. Su Lijun, Deputy Director-General of CPJRC, and Deputy Director-General of the Institute of Mountain Hazards and Environment (IMHE), Chinese Academy of Sciences, Prof. Ge Yonggang, Director of Science and Technology Division, IMHE and Prof. Hong Tianhua, Executive Director of CPJRC, attended the signing ceremony.
CPJRC is a scientific research institution jointly established by the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan. Scientists from both sides form a scientific research team to conduct cooperative research and technical training in the fields of natural disasters, natural resources, ecological environment and sustainable development in the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), so as to serve the high-standard construction of CPEC. The center is headquartered in Islamabad, Pakistan, and IMHE is the supporting unit in China.
Tianqi Lithium is a leading enterprise in China's lithium industry with cutting-edge technology and strong overall competitiveness. It is committed to the development of new energy materials and the implementation of the national "double carbon" strategy.
Based on this strategic agreement, both sides will use their respective strengths to carry out joint research on lithium resources.
